Filming: The Storyboard

This (badly drawn) storyboard envisions our plan for shooting the video. Steve and Adam asked us to create this so they could see what our ideas were for the campaign video. This storyboard actually allowed us to stick to the IndieGoGo guidelines of keeping the video length around 3 minutes.

For the first part of the video, we've decided to create the experience of what it would be like to own a Purr collar. We hope this will attract the audience to invest in the product, by giving them a taste of how fun the product is to use.

We've chosen to include a presenter in the video to keep the narrative flowing and to introduce the different sections of the video in a professional manner. We also thought a female presenter will be able to represent the target audience and provide a nice contrast to just Steve and Adam appearing on screen.

As the creators of the product, we wanted Steve and Adam to talk about the technical side of the product as that's what they know most about, we feel that the owners talking about the technical element almost reassures the potential customers that they know what they're talking about and know how to run a business. Steve and Adam were hesitant at first about appearing in the video, but we thought it was important to give our campaign the personal touch.

Throughout the video, we are going to make sure that the CatNav logo appears in the background of shots just to really reinforce the brand identity.

We also want to film some people using the app (if possible) and watching their cat wearing the collar to break up the shots of the presenter speaking directly to the camera.

We aim to make the video appeal to the target audience as well as other investors that we are professional, are passionate about the product, and have the potential to succeed with a really good product.
